HFC hands over 3D simulator

HFC hands over 3D simulator to the Institute of Neuro- and Bioinformatics of the University of Lübeck

The Institute of Neuro- and Bioinformatics of the University of Lübeck researches the guidance of visual attention in the course of the project “GazeCom” ( short for “Gaze-based Communication”).

To explore the long-term usage perspectives, the institute uses the 3D simulator technology from HFC as well as the eye-tracking technology from our partners at SMI.

For example, one question investigated is whether the car of the future should redirect its driver’s gaze back onto the street when his attention was diverted too long by the radio or the navigation system.
